Life at Kenmare Nursing Home

We are lucky enough to have a magnificent view from our Nursing Home of the Macgillcuddy Reeks and the Kenmare Bay.

At Kenmare Nursing Home all our bedrooms are tastefully decorated, have vanity units, nurse call facilities and dimmer lights. Residents are welcome to add their own personal effects for comfort.

There are no formal visiting hours in Kenmare Nursing Home, Relatives and Friends are free to visit whenever it suits.

There are handrails thorough out our building for added security and ramps with handrails at each entrance / exit for ease of wheelchair access.

We have regular visits from local clergy members and Mass is celebrated in house monthly. We have mass via radio link every morning from Kenmare Church.

We have light activities daily and a weekly exercise class and a weekly music session.

We also have an extensive library of books.

Views of Kenmare Bay

Kenmare Nursing Home overlooks the stunning Kenmare Bay with clear, unobstructed views of the water and the the Macgillycuddy Reeks.  Sunsets are truly something to behold as the setting sun brings a vibrant orange and red sky behind the mountains.

Personal Rooms

All of the rooms at Kenmare Nursing home have been designed to conform with all relevant medical guidelines and best practices.  Our rooms are far from just functional however, with each room have tasteful decoration hints and space for personal effects and belongings.

Landscaped Gardens

We have beautiful  gardens with secure space to sit outside and enjoy the flowers and views.
